Application engineer with a focus on continuous learning
Sat Agarwal creates and delivers immersive engineering learning experiences (Dojos) — FOR engineers BY engineers — as part of the company's internal learning platform. Sat influences the skill building and transformation of Discover engineering teams using a culture of continuous learning that plays a key role in shaping and delivering outcomes for those teams.
Sat has developed his skillset to include Jira, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, jfrog artifactory, and more. These DevOps practices and technologies are the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that can increase an organization's ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity.
Sat helps teams evolve and improve products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.
"The great tools and platforms at Discover are key to growing your skills and learning," Sat says. "There is ample opportunity to show leadership skills within the Discover culture. Technologists are empowered to achieve and maintain excellence, senior technologists provide technical mentoring, and organic, applied innovation is encouraged from all roles. The work-life balance is great, too."

What are your favorite hobbies?
I work out and play tennis. Sometimes when the weather gets cold for us here in Florida, I still go out and play tennis for hours with a group of friends.
I also like watching football. I was born and raised in Mumbai but I first experienced American football when I attended Penn State University and they became national champions. I didn't fully understand it at first. Everyone was so excited, and I had no idea what the game was about.
What is your caffeine of choice?
